When I was stuck in 98% in the last update, as I was in the middle of an important work i tried restart and wait for completion of updation several times. Even I tried to start in Safe Mode, it also end in utter failure, but every time it stuck 98% and nothing happens. The following steps I have taken to recover this situation.

Restarted the system in safe mode. <FAILED>

Restart the system to recovery mode.

Choose System Restore.

Choose the latest restore date and click OK.

Wait for few minutes your system will restart.
